I always look for the silver linings in life, it's just my nature. So, when a couple meets us for engagement photos on a spring morning, but the temperature is frigid, I look a little harder. The thing is, when it's cold outside, people stay inside. This means we get the whole place to ourselves! Woohoo!

That's just what happens the morning we meet Caitlin and Chapin at Meridian Hill Park. The park is completely ours to roam, which is great for conversation. It's so fun getting to know these two. I'm pumped for their fall wedding at The Loft at 600 F. Caitlin and Chapin live downtown, and their wedding will be in the city, so it's only fitting that their engagement photos take place in one of DC's best parks. Caitlin's mom is in town from Texas, so we get to know her before the big day too! We always love the moms.

Engagement photos are the perfect opportunity to chat and get comfortable with each other before the wedding day. After all, you don't want a stranger taking your wedding photos. Lots of people arrive to an engagement session nervous and dreading 90 minutes of picture taking. But, I think our clients truly have fun. We make them laugh, make sure they breathe, and don't let anyone take anything too seriously. After all, it's a wedding!!!
