Documenting a wedding is a gift, something we cherish each and every time. But, when your best friends get married, this experience takes on meaning of a entirely new kind. Add in the beauty of Ottawa's Herb Garden, the style, sophistication, and sense of humor of two incredibly beautiful women, and a boxer named Huey, and you've got yourself and all-star wedding.

The temperature takes an unexpected drop just days before, plunging this event into a crisp (ok, cold) Ottawa fall. The wedding day brings heavy rain fall, dramatic clouds, and spectacular sunlight that pours through like a beacon, as if eager to look down on these two.  In the morning, as the rain pours down someone tells Bobby, "they say it's harder to untie a wet knot," and I smile, for surely no knot could be tied tighter. All this stirring in the earth and wild weather, the universe seems to be taking note of this union.

The journey of this day is one I will never forget. From morning massages and club sandwiches in bed, umbrella wrangling during a tender first look in the field, and the intimate and lovely signing of the ketubah. A Jewish ceremony creatively customized with love and laughter, dinner to write home about, DRINKS, and dancing. Oh my the dancing. Such dancing. Into the wee wee hours, under a smiling moon, where we have the great privilege to bring these two lovely souls back to their wedding bed at the Brookstreet Hotel. There we bid them goodnight, our hearts full beyond measure.
