Maryland Agricultural History Park

These two guys are quite important to us. Look closely...is that Bobby? No! It's his identical twin brother Michael. And that handsome man beside him is his partner, Patrick. On September 5th of next year, Mike and Pete will be celebrating 10 years together. And finally they, and so many other beautiful couples, have been given what has been so rightfully theirs all along, the right to marry. 

The morning of Mike and Pete's engagement shoot is stunning. The cutie pies arrive just as the sunlight peaks up over the trees. It's chilly all right! Good for snuggling. Truly a special day for our family!

Mike and Pete are what we like to call "good people." Loved by everyone wherever they go. After several years in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Michael and Patrick moved up to Maryland this past spring. It's been such a pleasure watching them grow and change, starting off on their next chapter together.

Bobby and I will share a wedding month with these two; our own wedding was September 1st, 2012. When I walked down the aisle I remember looking up and seeing Michael and Patrick blubbering with such love in their eyes, a warm welcome to the family. I look forward to a similar moment next year.

I feel so grateful to have this morning with the grooms to be. It is wonderful to see the tenderness they share for each other. Two strong, confident men, in love. It makes my heart happy.

After petting a few friendly goats and pigs, we decide celebratory breakfast is a must. Congratulations Mike and Petey. We love you so much!
