Bobby and I wait to meet our 5 new friends while sitting in the early morning fall light. The 6th family member is our friend Diana! Bobby and I did some headshots for Diana this summer and we had a good ole time. Not soon after, her sister called us for family photos. This business warms my heart every day, all these good people and their beautiful families!

Fall foliage and gorgeous waterfalls...a perfect autumn day to be together at Great Falls National Park. The sisters lay out their disclaimers, "Ben doesn't like having his picture taken", "Mom likes to pose, make sure she doesn't look stiff", "Dad will try to tell you what shots to take." Bobby and I laugh and thank them for their concerns. A challenge....we welcome it!

At first, Ben clings to Dad, Ricardo, but after some investigation we learn the key facts about our little guy. Ben likes tools and cars. ALOT. We chat about construction and he tells me his favorite colors, black and yellow, perfect for a Mustang (his ride of choice). Only 13 years until that license...

Mom, Karina, and sister Diana, are beautiful, confident women. I can't help but notice they come from good stock. Their parents, Henry and Nati, are wonderful people.

Nati is charming with her sweet smile and gentle spirit and Henry with his kind eyes and joie de vivre (not to mention killer style). Henry and Bobby become fast friends, chatting about photography in matching hats (Ben has one too!).

Multi-generational shoots are such a treat. It's so wonderful to see the nuances of family dynamics, and to get to meet all the players. Ben clearly loves his Auntie, or Tia, and his grandparents so much. Karina and Ricardo come down from NY as often as they can to be with family and it shows. What a loved child!

Once we've all caught our breath and stopped laughing, there's only one thing left to do, throw some leaves! They're all in, love these guys!
