Louise and Paul are extraordinarily kind people; a very modest young power couple, but a power couple nonetheless. Louise has recently become a doctor and Paul is a lawyer on the rise. They are all sweetness and smiles during their gorgeous DC wedding, just happy to be saying "I Do." These two are so lovely with each other and gracious with their family and friends.

This wedding includes our first traditional tea ceremony. It is such an honor to get to document this ritual, led by Louise's side of the family, who is wonderful. Her father explains each step of the process and makes sure everyone partakes in some hot tea, despite the stifling heat outside. The American ceremony is officiated by Paul's sister, Liz. Bobby and I got to know lovely Liz last year when she was a bridesmaid at Jeff & Becca's wedding. The ceremony is perfect, and wraps up just as a nasty storm decides to rain in its approval of the union.  

The inside of the Omni Shoreham greets party goers with a escape from the thunderstorm. The ballroom is beautiful and dinner is served by gorgeous flowers and candlelight. Speeches from the maid-of-honor, Bea, and best man, Ted, do not disappoint. These two are fabulous and keep the party going strong! 

Special touches like late-night sliders and delicious cake keep guests smiling into the night. Eventually, everyone is sent home with some fragrant soaps from China. Louise's mom makes sure I get two and wishes us goodnight with such warmth. 

It is such a pleasure to get to know both sides of the family, raise a glass, and celebrate this marriage!
