Fall is my very favorite time for family photos! It's been a long time in the making, us getting to meet the Smith family...and it was well worth the wait. We connected with the Smiths through our friends the Sousa family. These families are both tons of fun, and both have such BEAUTIFUL children! 

We meet each other on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. The sun comes out almost the moment we meet up, clearing away a cloudy morning. After climbing to the top of the stairs, the girls, Sydney and Raquel, very sweetly and shyly ask me...."will this take a long time?" I laugh. As an auntie of many, I know that most kids are used to annual family photos at a studio. Not much fun. I love getting to share a different kind of photography experience with them. 

The time we spend with the Smiths is so easy and full of play. These two are excellent parents, and are raising some exceptional children. By the end of the session, the girls are ready to ham it up for the camera, after a few tickle attacks.

What a lovely family...
