Ben's Bar Mitzvah l Malvern, PA

It is always such a pleasure to document a special occasion in someone's life. For Bobby and I, it was an honor to photograph this big day for Ben, possibly the coolest 13-year old I've met. Such a sweet boy. From a wonderful family. Mazel Tov Ben!!!

Bobby and I had the privilege of meeting this family through our mutual friend; their two families go way back. Maureen and Miriam (or Mimi) have been friends since they were kids and their children since they were born. You can feel the love as the sunshine pours through the synagogue windows on this perfect morning. 

After the service, friends and family gather for the oneg, breaking bread and raising a glass to Ben before heading to the reception at the Phoenixville Country Club. 

The reception site is ready and waiting when the party arrives.The boys waste no time getting down to business with the Nerf guns and basketball hoop. Some real talent on the court, might I add!

The guests settle in and take their seats, awaiting the announcement of our lovely hosts and guests of honor. 

Dad and Mom toast their son, Dad saying he called Ben "Mr. Sunshine" when he was a little boy, always full of smiles. 

The candle lighting ceremony is such a lovely tradition. Few traditions are equally touching and funny! Ben has them cracking up at his one-liners, and shows such love and affection to the special people in his life. In return, they lift him up for the hora. 

The party winds down and loved ones embrace, it has been a beautiful celebration. As the brothers climb into the car, sweaty and happy from hours of basketball, we snag a moment with Mom and Dad. It's easy to see that they are very proud of their youngest son, Benjamin. Rightfully so.
