A Look Back at 2013

In lieu of Facebook offering a "Year at a Glance" feature for business pages, I decided I would create my own. After all, one of our greatest accomplishments from this past year has been nourishing our photography business, and watching it grow! As we prepare for the year ahead, I feel so aware of how far we've come and would like to look back at some of our favorite moments from this year, to thank our wonderful clients for their loyalty and our followers for their daily devotion.

"Naomi's Flight" ~ In-Flight Theater (March)
Mara Neimanis is a dear friend and mentor who has entrusted us with documenting her original works over the past two years. Her company, In-Flight Theater, is one of a kind; creating meaningful work, rich with imagery, and gravity-defying aerial artistry. It was such a treat to photograph and write about, Naomi's Flight, a special story that I hold dear to my heart. Humboldt County, CA (May)
Spring took me back to Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theater, to create a new show. After holding down the fort back home, Bobby drove out to meet me for the last month. Besides enriching our souls, the time in Blue Lake provided great photography opportunities.
Thesis Projects
The Dell'Arte Master Students' Mothership Ensemble (and guests) spent 10 weeks developing original one-acts. I was so proud to be part of this process and join my friends and colleagues in creation; such talented folk! Thank goodness Bobby was there to take our picture!

It was an honor for us to be contracted by my alma mater to contribute to the photography of this great school. Bobby was stoked to get to document all the classes and rehearsals with these fabulous teachers...as well as the first year students' annual clown show!

With more than a handful of eager young artists about to graduate, or move into their second/third year of study, Bobby's on-the-go studio was a revolving door of headshots and portrait sessions. Such fascinating, hilarious people!
Road Trip Home (June)
We couldn't drive home without witnessing some of our country's great masterpieces. We LOVE the National Parks, can't pass 'um by.

Bryce was our favorite (besides Yellowstone of course!). We had a great time there and stayed for a few days of fun!
Lifestyle Photography Awaits in MD! (July - Dec)
While much of our time is devoted to theater and travel photography, our hearts soar when we get to photograph engagements, weddings, and families having fun together. More than anything, we believe in LOVE. We're suckers and will probably cry at your wedding.
Summer/Fall/Winter of 2013 was filled with new families, beautiful weddings, and super fun engagement sessions. Enjoy some of our favorite moments!

Whew! What a year! We feel so privileged to call this our job and are constantly looking for new and creative ways to document you people in all your glory.
So far 2014 brings lots of weddings, including one in Ottawa! Boy oh boy.
